Coast Guard BRG Program Award Goes To ECS

ECS Federal, Inc., a rapidly-growing provider of professional engineering, scientific, information technology and business services to the Federal Government, was awarded a task order to provide Environmental Review Support Services to the US Coast Guard Bridge Program (CG-BRG). This task order has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total potential value of $2.6 million, if all options are exercised.

The CG-BRG Program has the authority to approve the locations and plans of bridges (and causeways) across the navigable waters of the United States. When an applicant proposes to construct a new, or modify an existing bridge across a waterway, the CG-BRG analyzes the potential environmental, navigational, historical/cultural, and socio-economic impacts of the proposed project. After the analysis is completed the CG-BRG then decides whether or not to issue a bridge permit. ECS was selected to conduct reviews of environmental documentation associated with applications in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and other laws. ECS will be providing support to the CG-BRG offices in Washington, DC, Miami, FL, and Seattle, WA.

“Taking part in the process to review applications for new construction or for modifications to existing bridges is one more way ECS helps to ensure the safety of the American people.” said George Wilson, ECS President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
