ECS Federal, Inc. (ECS) has achieved Maturity Level 3 with the Carnegie Mellon University Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI®). This achievement demonstrates our commitment to exceptional service quality and delivery excellence. It also ensures that ECS applies cost-effective and best-in-class technology solutions for our government customers.

ECS first attained CMMI Level 3 in 2006. To renew our rating, an independent external organization conducted a comprehensive assessment of our processes in accordance with the formal Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI). ECS’ agile development projects were the focus of this independent appraisal.

“Achieving and maintaining CMMI Maturity Level 3 designation is our key corporate initiative and we are extremely proud of this recent accomplishment” said George Wilson, ECS President and Chief Operating Officer. “This assessment further solidifies ECS’ agile development capability to deliver high-value business capabilities for our federal customers in an incremental, disciplined and predictable manner. Our agile delivery capability will continue on our path to CMMI Level 5, to provide our customers with improved project performance, quality and visibility.”

CMMI is a process improvement framework that guides organizations in software and systems development, acquisition, and service delivery to create high-performance, high-maturity cultures. The CMMI standard was developed by a coalition of industry, government and the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) to objectively assess the full range of an organization’s software and systems engineering, program management and organizational management capabilities.
